Taxotere

Taxotere is a drug manufactured by Sanofi-Aventis and is commonly used in chemotherapy treatments for numerous forms of breast, lung and skin cancers.

While hair loss is common with chemotherapy, Taxotere has been linked to permeant hair loss, also known as Alopecia, and the manufacturer did not properly warn doctors or patients of these risks, which may have impacted their decisions to use the drug. There are other alternatives that have proven to be as effective as Taxotere in treating cancer but don’t have the long-lasting side-effects.
